Christmas (25 December) is a holiday celebrated in most countries. It means, quite literally, "the festival of Christ".
When Vernon and Petunia Dursley took Harry Potter, Dudley Dursley and Piers Polkiss to the zoo on 24 June, 1991, Vernon took Harry aside and warned him that if anything odd happened, Harry would be locked in his cupboard until Christmas[1].
